Our Story
It is with great excitement that we present Pitch Wizard, a new interactive online music theory and aural platform, designed to broaden musical skill in instrumental performance for the student.
Students learning a musical instrument require a sound knowledge of music theory as it develops a greater understanding of music, as well as accelerating the process of learning to play.
Our content & mission 
The progressive, self-guided courses comprise of animated video tutorials and interactive games that align to the Australian school music curriculum and music examination boards. Students earn composer badges to celebrate milestones achieved, providing them with a stimulating learning experience. Both teacher and student can monitor progress through this learning platform highlighting specific skills that may need improvement or more practice.
Students who engage with Pitch Wizard will have the potential to develop a sense of musicianship that helps them progress at a faster pace on their instrument of choice and become well-rounded musicians. It is our hope that Pitch Wizard’s asynchronous learning design brings knowledge and joy into music theory in an engaging, flexible, affordable, and convenient way.
Our founders
Pitch Wizard is the brainchild of a team of leading music educators, internationally-acclaimed performers, and parents of three children, Dr. Suzanna Hlinka & Christoph Blickling.
Through their experience as classically trained musicians and performing artists, teaching at various private schools, pre-tertiary and tertiary Universities within Australia and overseas, they recognised the need for a music theory program for children that is approachable and contemporary in nature.
